During your studies, you’ll build core knowledge across the legal and accountancy disciplines, and develop advanced skills in communication, analytical thinking and problem solving that will give you an edge in the graduate job market.
Learning outcomes
Law Honours is available, usually without extending the time required to complete your degree.
In this program you will:
- Study all the academic courses required for admission as a legal practitioner in Australia, including criminal and commercial law, torts, contracts and constitutional law
- Learn about financial and company accounting, taxation law, auditing, financial management and more
- Build practical legal skills by preparing advice, presenting legal arguments and observing court proceedings
- Have the opportunity to work with clients under legal supervision in a law practice, or undertake an internship
Career opportunities
Solicitor, barrister, company secretary, accountant, auditor, stockbroker, careers with an accounting or law focus.

- Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
- Institute of Public Accountants
The degree is an approved academic qualification for admission to the legal profession. However, graduates must undertake a further period of practical legal training before being admitted as a legal practitioner.
