The Bachelor of Economics with Honours degree allows students who have completed a Bachelor of Economics degree, a year of study to develop a body of knowledge in a specific context as further preparation to undertake professional work and/or as a pathway for Masters degree or Doctorate in the future.This on-campus, 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time honours degree course is offered through the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE) at Hobart.If you are considering enrolling in the Honours program, please contact the Honours Coordinator, Dr Hugh Sibly before submitting your application for admission.

Structure

Candidates are required to complete four units of coursework and to write a dissertation under individual supervision. The award of honours is given in relation to the whole of the year's work. Grades of award are - First Class; Second Class, upper division; Second Class, lower division; or Third Class.
