The Bachelor of Education with Professional Honours is designed to meet the needs of experienced educators seeking professional learning, personal enquiry and intellectual engagement within a specialist area or across a range of specialisations.

Structure

The Bachelor of Education with Professional Honours consists of two Core Units, plus any five (5) postgraduate Education units.

All units are one semester in length and all units are weight at 12.5 credit points, with the exception of ESM708 which is weighted at 25 credit points.

1. Knowledge - Graduates will know and understand:

  • The theoretical foundations and practice of education (including various specialisations), and how these can facilitate enhanced pedagogical approaches, curriculum, policy, and student engagement from a global perspective;

  • Utilise contemporary literature and professional standards to improve practice and promote constructive and collegial learning in educational contexts;
