However, when Government guidelines change, on-campus studies will be reintroduced.The Bachelor of Laws with Honours provides a comprehensive program which allows candidates to advance their knowledge of legal principles and concepts gained to date in their Bachelor of Laws.

There is a strong independent research component in the degree which will advance students’ achievement of all threshold learning outcomes for law (knowledge, ethics, thinking skills, research, communication and self-management).

All candidates must complete a research methods unit and further research requirements as outlined in the Course Rules.Candidates will be offered admission to the Bachelor of Laws with Honours in their final year of Law study if they meet the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) requirement of 5.20 in their law studies to date in accordance to the Course Rules.

A candidate with a GPA of 5.80 or above will be offered admission to the First Class Honours stream.

The award of an Honours degree in Law requires the achievement of the requisite minimum GPA as outlined in the Course Rules.

The Bachelor of Laws with Honours will provide an understanding of research principles and methods and provide a pathway for those seeking to undertake postgraduate research.Students are invited to transfer to the Bachelor of Laws with Honours (L4W), four year program, in their final year of study.

Entry requirements

A candidate will be offered admission to the Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the completion of their penultimate year of Law study if he or she has achieved a GPA of 5.20 or above. This GPA is calculated in accordance to the Course Rules. A candidate with a GPA of 5.80 will be offered admission to the First Class Honours stream. It is proposed that a Law Honours Transfer form be created to facilitate the transfer of students to the Bachelor of Laws with Honours. Students will need to complete an eCAF for this new course.
