The Honours degree in Health Science is designed to provide students with the foundations necessary for research in Health Science disciplines and to gain greater expertise during two semesters full-time study (or equivalent).

Candidates will be required to submit a research thesis on work undertaken as part of the honours course.All candidates will be required to study a unit in statistics and data handling and another unit negotiated with the School.

Other requirements for the course include a literature review directly related to the thesis, and a dissertation.

Students will be required to present their research work at a seminar.

Structure

To qualify for the Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) students must successfully complete 100% load, as specified in the course schedule. Candidates will be required to submit a literature review and a research thesis on work undertaken as part of the honours course and give a presentation. All candidates will be required to study analysis and presentation of scientific data and complete an appropriate course work unit or equivalent. Students will be required to present their research work at a seminar.
