We'll be sure to keep you informed of any changes.This 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time course is offered by the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology at Launceston.
Structure
For Full Time Students:
Please enrol in Honours A (25%) and B (25%) in one semester and Honours C (25%) and D (25%) in the following semester.
For Part Time Students:
Please enrol in Honours A (25%) in one semester, followed by Honours B (25%) in the following semester and so on.
* Students enrol sequentially i.e. Unit A, then Unit B irrespective of the semester in which they start.
To unify the students within the BEnvSc(Hons), each of the Honours units will have the same structure:
- 12.5% Desktop study of a current environmental issue
- 12.5% Research funding application
- 10% Laboratory notebook
- 10% Research seminar
- 55% Research thesis, including literature review
- Students will also be expected to attend a research methods workshop, present a preliminary seminar on their research topic, and attend a seminar program in environmental science.
Articulation
Graduates from other institutions with degrees acceptable to Faculty may be accepted into the Honours course.
Graduates of the BEnvSc(Hons) course may enrol for a higher degree by research.
