Public expectations of post-graduate managers are necessarily high in being prepared to make, defend and be morally accountable for their judgements impacting on people, communities and ecosystems.This postgraduate course provides students with knowledge and experiences to enhance their professional and public responsibilities in leading and managing, and the stewardship of resources and enterprises.
An innovative, flexible structure provides students with maximum choice in selecting subjects and programs of study tailored to meet their personal and professional needs.The additional elective subject choices provide an opportunity to specialise more deeply in the management discipline and to further enhance students' skills, professional practice, specialist knowledge and capabilities.
Structure
Students must complete a total of 72 credit points made up of 11 subjects, comprising seven core subjects (42 credit points), three electives subjects (18 credit points), and either Industry Research Project or Internship Experience (12 credit points) in the Mid-career Management stream (STM91391), or nine core subjects (54 credit points), one electives subject (6 credit points), and either Industry Research Project or Internship Experience (12 credit points) in the Early Career Management stream (STM91390).

Entry requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
Applicants with a minimum of two years full time, or equivalent, relevant managerial work experience, will be offered the Mid-Career Management Stream (STM91391), and all other applicants will be offered the Early Career Management Stream (STM91390).
The managerial or supervisory work experience must be demonstrated through a C.V. and a Statement of Service, confirming the dates of employment and the position held within the organisation.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64; or CAE: 176-184.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
International students
Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
