About
The honours program is designed to provide students with the resources to further develop and apply their research skills and to pursue special areas of interest in depth.
Structure
All students must complete one coursework subject, worth 6 credit points, and a major thesis of 42 credit points, totalling 48 credit points. The precise nature of each student's program is determined in consultation with the honours course coordinator, with the aim of choosing a topic that will facilitate completion of the honours research thesis.

Entry requirements
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline at an appropriate level.
Applicants should have successfully completed the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (C10300), with a credit average or better in the final two full-time sessions.
Graduates from other institutions who have completed a comparable course and who meet the academic criteria are also considered for admission. In exceptional cases, consideration is given to applicants who have completed the Bachelor of Management in Leisure and Events (C10039), the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Management (C10301), the Bachelor of Management in Tourism (C10040) or the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (C10300) at pass level. In such cases, outstanding professional achievements are taken into account.
The English proficiency requirement for international students or local applicants with international qualifications is: Academic IELTS: 6.5 overall with a writing score of 6.0; or TOEFL: paper based: 550-583 overall with TWE of 4.5, internet based: 79-93 overall with a writing score of 21; or AE5: Pass; or PTE: 58-64; or CAE: 176-184.
Eligibility for admission does not guarantee offer of a place.
International students
Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
