It involves two compulsory units and a choice from a range of other advanced social work units, depending on availability.

The course enables practising social workers to build on their knowledge of advanced social work theory and practice, and research methods.

Entry requirements

4. To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—

(a) a relevant bachelor's degree or graduate certificate1, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA;

and

(b) at least two years of experience as a professionally qualified social worker.

1A relevant graduate certificate includes a Graduate Certificate in Social Work, Graduate Certificate in Child Protection Practice, and Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Practice.
