About

The Master of Urban Management and Planning gives students the professional and scholarly education to take a leadership role in urban management, strategic planning and policy development.

The coursework includes preparation in professional practice, history and the theoretical and legal frameworks for planning.

Students will develop skills in a range of relevant areas including governance, urban finance and sustainable strategies.

The course also includes sizeable research and industry placement components.Accreditation The Master of Urban Management and Planning, when completed in conjunction with the Bachelor of Social Science (Pathway to Master of Urban Management and Planning), or Bachelor of Planning (Pathway to Master of Urban Management and Planning), is accredited by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA).Undergraduate entrant degrees are not accredited by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA);

only the full pathway including the Master of Urban Management and Planning is accredited.
