The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical)/Bachelor of Business combined degree program provides students with an opportunity to undertake concurrent study in electrical engineering and business and complete two awards. In general, a combined degree program offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree. At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills. This wide-ranging program includes study of diverse aspects of power generation and distribution, telecommunicaitons, signal processing and analogue and digital electronics whilst also providing the skills for work in many areas of business, and the opportunity to progress in a business management career.

Electrical engineering is the major area of expertise behind control and automation, telecommunications, signal processing, analogue and digital electronics and power generation and distribution. It is also vital in new and emerging fields such as nano-technology, robotics and renewable energy.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Computer)/Bachelor of Science - Physics Major provides students with an opportunity to undertake concurrent study in computer engineering and physics and complete two awards. In general, a combined degree program offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree. At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills. Students have the opportunity to select electives according to their individual areas of interest and will also have the opportunity to undertake an industry related project in their final year of study in the engineering degree. Students are also required to complete 12 weeks of industrial experience throughout the program.

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Computer)/Bachelor of Computer Science combined degree program provides students with an opportunity to undertake concurrent study and complete two awards. In general, it offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree. At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills.Students have the opportunity to select directed courses according to their individual areas of interest and will also have the opportunity to undertake an industry related project in their final year of study in the engineering degree. Students are required to complete 12 weeks of industrial experience throughout the program.Students may only undertake a major in Computer Science and Robotics within this combined program (as part of the Bachelor of Computer Science).

In general, this combined degree program offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree. At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills. Students develop skills in the design and building of large scale projects such as roads, bridges, airports, major buildings and water supply systems whilst also gaining skills to assess and model the potential damage and long-term environmental problems resulting from human activity and, importantly, devise environmentally sustainable and economic solutions.
