Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)

The Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) builds on undergraduate studies in management and leadership. It comprises three compulsory research methodology courses, one elective course, and the completion of a research thesis. The research thesis, taken over the entire year with the major emphasis occurring after completion of the coursework, is the critical part of the program as it provides evidence of the student's ability to undertake original research under supervision. Candidates attend the weekly Research School of Management Seminar Series, and present a seminar on their proposed thesis towards the end of their first semester.

An Honours Specialisation is available for all majors in the BA, and any two Honours Specialisations available in the BA for which both sets of admissions criteria have been met are available for combination as Combined Honours.

Honours in Actuarial Studies is a program offered within the Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Applied Statistics that offers students who have excelled in their undergraduate actuarial degree a challenging but rewarding year of study. We seek outstanding students who are keen to undertake independent research with the guidance from academic staff. Sufficiently high grades in the coursework component of the honours year will enable students to receive exemptions from some of the Associateship and Fellowship requirements of the Actuaries Institute.

Bachelor of Accounting (Honours)

Your transcript and testamur will be issued by the Australian National University.Students who successfully complete the Diploma of Science, with no more than one fail and a GPA of 5 or above, will be able to progress into the second year of a Bachelor of Science Degree with 48 units of credit.Students aspiring to study at ANU, and those the University seeks to reach, sometimes do not meet the minimum entry requirements for their target course. This may be due to restricted educational opportunity, geographic location, cultural or socio-economic expectations or restrictions, lack of choice, or personal factors such as individual or family circumstances that affect success. Other students may be very close to ANU entry requirements, but miss out on entry by a small margin. These students will benefit from a high support entry pathway to ANU.The aim of the Diploma of Science is to provide an opportunity for high quality and aspiring students to access ANU and to succeed in degree programs on completion of the Diploma.
