This course is designed to provide an opportunity for professional engineers to extend their knowledge and update their skills in line with recent advances.This course allows busy professional engineers to embark on postgraduate studies before committing to a master's degree. The course follows an integrated approach to professional practice through professional engineering subjects and subjects relating to a particular stream (major). Upon completion, students may articulate to a relevant master's program with credit for the subjects completed in this course.

Practical legal training (PLT) is a mandatory requirement for admission to practise law in NSW and UTS was the first university in Sydney to offer a PLT qualification.Students in the Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice experience university-standard teaching combined with interactive content and practice-oriented exercises that bridge the gap between legal knowledge and professional practice. They develop the advanced knowledge and skills required for a legal career, including judgement, adaptability and an ethical mindset.This course is offered online (with minimal attendance for assessments) and on campus. On completion of this course, students are eligible for admission as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of NSW, provided they have also completed a relevant academic qualification.

The Graduate Certificate in Executive Business Administration provides foundation skills used in the general management of a business unit or enterprise for non-graduates who have at least eight years of relevant business experience.

This course is for qualified lawyers from common law jurisdictions outside Australia who are seeking admission to practise law in NSW. Students complete 30 credit points of core subjects spanning ethics, property, constitutional and administrative law.Coupled with the successful completion of practical legal training (PLT), graduates of this course meet the academic requirements for admission to practise law in NSW.

The Graduate Certificate in Mathematics is a four-subject course. The flexible course structure allows for study programs designed to suit different university graduates, from mathematicians looking to refresh or deepen their knowledge in a certain mathematical discipline, to holders of business, engineering or science bachelor's degrees who require a mathematical foundation for further studies.The course is recommended for those with insufficient mathematics in their bachelor's degree who wish to meet the admission requirements of the Mathematical and Statistical Modelling major in the Master of Science (C04241).
