The Professional Certificate in Indigenous Research is an interdisciplinary coursework program consisting of one core subject - MULT90022: Indigenous Research.In this course, ‘Indigenous research’ includes not only research by Indigenous individuals, but also research on Indigenous topics. The course explores research and develops research skills from an Indigenous perspective. The course is taught in a mixed mode of seminars, case studies, and group activities, with an emphasis on collaborative learning. Students engage in a range of activities, including structured reflection, academic writing, and formal verbal presentations. Students’ assessment tasks relate directly to their own research.Upon satisfactory completion of the course, students are awarded a Professional Certificate in Indigenous Research, which will give them 25 credit points towards the Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Research and Leadership.

The Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Research and Leadership (GC-IRL) is an interdisciplinary coursework program which aims to develop leadership skills and capacity in, or involving, Indigenous research. The curriculum of the course is underpinned by Indigenous perspectives and has aspects which can be tailored to each participant's work context and career.Applicants for the course must either have completed the Professional Certificate in Indigenous Research (GC-IRPRO), or have already completed a doctorate (see Entry Requirements).

The Graduate Certificate in International Education (IB) is a fully online program. It offers a specialist degree for teachers and administrators in education for all stages of education. It is designed for those wanting to broaden their understanding and skills in relation to the philosophy and concepts underlying the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes and to assist those wanting to work internationally. The course investigates the IB from a range of theoretical perspectives with focused inquiry into policy and practice.Please note that this program will not provide graduates with initial teacher education qualifications to teach in Australia.

The Professional Certificate in Instructional Leadership comprises two of the core subjects in the Master of Instructional Leadership. It provides a strong research evidence base for understanding student and teacher learning and how instructional leadership can create the conditions for this to occur. This course aligns with the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership National Professional Standard for Principals.This course will not meet the requirements for initial teacher registration in Australia.

The suite of core and elective intensive subjects rely heavily on real life, problem-based learning to develop an applied science approach throughout the Graduate Certificate. This will better position recent graduates in the workplace, and better resonate with industry professionals through a case-study approach to the designed learning outcomes. The Graduate Certificate in Genomics and Health is a nested award within the Master of Genomics and Health course.The Graduate Certificate in Genomics and Health will take a blended learning approach to delivery, combining online and face-to-face interactions. It requires completion of a total of 50 points of study and is structured to suit individual needs and study preferences. Students also have the option of enrolling in the Master of Genomics and Health course (200 points) and exiting with the Graduate Certificate (50 points), or enrolling in the Graduate Diploma and exiting with the Graduate Certificate (50 points).The rapid advances in genomics in the last decade are expected to bring about benefits in health care but are not without their challenges in terms of upskilling a workforce that is able to incorporate new ways of thinking about and applying genomics, as well as consideration of ethical and social issues.This Graduate Certificate in Genomics and Health course is the first course of its kind in Australia and students will engage in discourse around the current and potential impact on health and medicine brought about by these advances in genomics and genomic technologies.This course is designed to be available to students at different stages in their careers, including career starters and those who currently work and wish to further their knowledge, skills and qualifications.
