Graduate Diploma of Professional Archaeology

Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies

This accredited 1-year (full time) coursework program prepares you for work as a recognised allied health professional in the area of rehabilitation counselling. The course provides a comprehensive introduction to rehabilitation and counselling concepts and practices for professionals working in the health, welfare, and the occupational arena. We prepare you for work with populations characterised by chronic conditions (mental and/or physical) or disability. Focus is on client involvement, coordination of services and maintaining individuals in the community to assist clients to reach their potential in rehabilitation/community settings. Core subjects relate to areas such as counselling skills (including motivational interviewing), core psychosocial factors that can impact on rehabilitation, case management, vocational rehabilitation, rehabilitation services (e.g. mental health) and a 20-day placement in second semester first year. Graduate Diploma in Midwifery
