No further student intakeThe Master of Disaster Health Care is a 54-unit program comprising of two pathways, directed towards Coursework or Coursework and Research, and is offered by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.The Master of Disaster Health Care (Coursework) is nested with the Graduate Diploma in Disaster Health Care and the Graduate Certificate in Disaster Health Care. The Master of Disaster Health Care (Coursework and Research) is nested with the Graduate Certificate in Disaster Health Care. The sequentially developed topics enable progression through the awards.Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Disaster Health Care are normally awarded up to 18 units of credit towards the Master of Disaster Health Care (Coursework or Coursework and Research). Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma in Disaster Health Care are normally awarded up to 36 units of credit towards the Master of Disaster Health Care (Coursework).If the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Disaster Health Care have been satisfied, it is available as an exit award from the Master of Disaster Health Care (Coursework or Coursework and Research). If the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Disaster Health Care have been satisfied, it is available as an exit award from the Master of Disaster Health Care (Coursework).The program was developed in collaboration with the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC) and is offered in external study mode through Flinders University.

Pathway 1 comprises 36 units of coursework and a 13.5-unit Research Project and 4.5 units of Research Design. Pathway 2 comprises 40.5 units of coursework and a 9-unit Advanced Rehabilitation Practice Project and 4.5 units of Research Design. Pathway 3 comprises 18 units of coursework and a 36-unit Thesis. The course is offered by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and is available in external mode only.The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation and the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Rehabilitation have topics in common with the Masters program and students who hold either the graduate certificate or graduate diploma receive credit for related topics.

The Master of Clinical Education is a 54-unit program offered by the College of Medicine and Public Health.This articulated, multi-disciplinary program is designed to provide health professionals with advanced knowledge and skills to deliver clinical education in health service settings. This is an emergent specialty field of education characterised by a symbiotic relationship between the learner, an experienced clinical educator and the health service. This course is suitable for educators in both clinical and academic settings.The course articulates with the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education and the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education with the sequentially developed topics allowing progression through the three awards. Students who have completed the graduate diploma normally are awarded credit for 36 units of topics towards the Masters. Students who have completed the graduate certificate normally are awarded credit for 18 units of topics towards the Masters.Admission requirementsApplicants who do not hold the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education or the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution and have not less than two years' work experience in a relevant clinical area. However, the Dean (Education) may, under certain circumstances and subject to specific conditions, admit others who can show evidence of fitness for candidature.Programs of Study
