Students who are unable to complete the requirements of the Master of Social Work (Graduate Entry) may be eligible to exit with the Graduate Diploma in Social Care or Graduate Certificate in Social Care.

The Graduate Diploma in Research Methods is a 36-unit program that requires one year of full-time study, or the equivalent part-time.The course provides students with high-level knowledge and skills in research methods as a pathway towards further learning at research higher degree level.Students may choose to exit from the Graduate Diploma in Research Methods with the exit award of the Graduate Certificate in Research Methods, provided that they have met the requirements for that award.Students will normally be required to achieve a GPA of at least 6.00 to be eligible to apply for research higher degree study.

The Graduate Diploma in Remote Health Practice is a 36-unit program offered by the College of Medicine and Public Health.The course articulates with the Graduate Certificate in Remote Health Practice and the Master of Remote and Indigenous Health and the sequentially developed topics allow progression through the three awards. Students who have completed the graduate certificate are normally awarded credit for 18 units of topics towards the graduate diploma. The program was developed in collaboration with the Council of Remote Area Nurses and all three courses are offered on an external basis through the Centre for Remote Health in Alice Springs.
