University of Queensland
The dual four-year program provides students with a focused background in Computer Science along with the in-depth knowledge of a mathematics degree. The Computer Science component combines the theoretical studies of algorithms and data structures, with the practical challenges of implementing them in hardware and software systems. In the Mathematics component you will develop a comprehensive specialised knowledge in one field of mathematics or a high level of sophistication in the applications of mathematics. This program has been revised from 2021. Students who commenced in the program from 2021 should refer to the: Bachelor of Mathematics / Computer Science — 2497. If you are interested in further information about the revised program structure, please contact the Faculty of Science Student Enquiries Office.

Engineering (Honours)/Computer Science
University of Queensland
The University of Queensland's engineering program offers the largest choice of engineering programs in Queensland, with a large number of distinct majors, double majors and minors. The flexible curriculum equips students to work in both established and newly emerging areas of engineering. Students develop their understanding by applying science and engineering principles to engineering problems of commercial importance. In addition to technical expertise, the program emphasises essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, project management, problem-solving and lifelong learning. Computer science combines the theoretical studies of algorithms and data structures, with the practical challenges of implementing them in hardware and software systems. Computer science plays a key role in the creation, development, implementation and evaluation of technology. Society relies upon computer-based systems for the operation and support of services in finance, energy, transport, health, and communications. Skills learnt in this program are utilised in fields ranging from bioinformatics to digital humanities where sophisticated knowledge in programming and data analysis are used to manipulate massive data sets.

Advanced Business (Honours)
University of Queensland
The BAdvBus(Hons) is a 4 year degree aimed at high achieving students seeking an advanced option to study business. Students can select from two pathways: the professional pathway allows students to take up to three majors from the Business School's specialist teaching areas of: accounting, business information systems, finance, human resources, international business, marketing, or two majors created exclusively for this program - business analytics, and entrepreneurship and innovation; while the research pathway is offered via a thesis for those students who may wish to enter a PhD. As this was a new program in 2018, due to the rollout of courses it may take longer than anticipated for students with credit to complete the program requirements. For this reason, students applying to change into the BAdvBus(Hons) program from another undergraduate program, and/or applying for credit on the basis of previous studies are strongly advised to contact the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (bel@uq.edu.au) before making a final decision.
