Our Master of Social Work (Qualifying) has been redesigned after direct industry feedback to reflect current and emerging practice trends in the profession.The newly updated course with specialisation options will give you key skills in ethical, innovative and collaborative social work practice.The new curriculum will equip you with advanced knowledge of social work research principles and methods. It also includes 1,000 hours of supervised professional field education placement, and students are encouraged to take part in additional project and research work with communities and industry.You will graduate as a creative and ethical communicator who respectfully uses knowledge to meet the needs of diverse social work client groups, communities and organisations. You will be able to respond to social justice and human rights challenges in ways that are culturally sensitive, principled, and effective.Cradle Coast students should note they are required to attend a series of workshops in Launceston for two units: HGW503 and HGW605.Students who commenced the Master of Social Work (R7N) in 2018 or earlier should refer to the entry for that course code and relevant year.

However, when Government guidelines change, on-campus studies will be reintroduced.The Master of Professional Engineering is an entry-to-practice masters-level qualification offering with specialisations in Civil and Structural and Mechanical engineering.This qualification is aimed at students who have completed a bachelor''s degree in civil or mechanical engineering from a non‐Washington accord university, students who have completed a bachelor's degree in engineering (other than civil and/or mechanical) or students who hold a Bachelor of Science with sufficient numerical skills. The course contents and assessment schedule will enable students to achieve Engineers Australia (EA) Stage 1 Competencies whilst demonstrating the application of Level 9 Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) knowledge and skills.

Welcome to the Healthcare in Remote and Extreme Environments ProgramWe are a diverse group of health professionals with extensive experience in working in remote and extreme environments – from aeromedical retrieval and helicopter rescue to endurance race medical support and solo medical practice in Antarctica, and from running charitable clinics in the Himalayas and providing medical support at the Olympics to coaching extreme sport athletes and advising the Australian Space Agency. We come together to provide educational programs in this exciting and rapidly evolving area of healthcare and to share our passion and experiences with you.Below you will find information on our Graduate Certificate, Diploma and Masters program. The Wicking Dementia Centre undertakes multidisciplinary research around three main themes – the Care, Cause and Prevention of Dementia. Educational programs are closely interlinked with the Centre’s research programs.The Wicking Dementia Centre, a flagship of the University's College of Health and Medicine, was established in 2008 and is core-funded by the J.O. & J.R.
