Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Honours) (Radiation Therapy)

This is the only degree of its kind in South Australia, preparing you for a rewarding career in the highly specialised field of radiation therapy. Radiation therapists work alongside radiation oncologists and medical physicists to plan and deliver radiation treatment, primarily to cancer patients. Using dedicated radiotherapy treatment planning software, radiation therapists model radiation doses and operate radiation equipment to accurately deliver high energy ionising radiation treatments. As a radiation therapy student, you will learn in state-of-the-art on-campus facilities, including our Virtual Environment Radiotherapy Training (VERT) suite, where you will gain valuable hands-on experience. Further practical experience is gained during field placements. You’ll complete more than 1,750 hours of clinical placements, complemented by an in-depth theoretical component taught by our award-winning teachers. As part of your studies you will also independently develop a research proposal, conduct a research project and write a thesis under the supervision of one of our researchers. With a suite of state-of-the-art radiation therapy technology located on-campus, it's easy to see why this degree is so highly regarded both nationally and internationally. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)

Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science, Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)

Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours)

This industry-relevant, practical degree will provide you with an in-depth understanding of how to use exercise management to prevent disease onset and treat a range of cardiovascular, respiratory, metabolic, neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions, as well as cancer and mental health. Practical experience will be further highlighted when you complete real-world clinical placements. These industry-based placements are not only a practical way for you to apply what you have learnt during your studies but are also a great way to build industry networks and relationships. A major part of your studies in third and fourth year will involve completing an honours level professional project related to clinical exercise physiology in partnership with an academic researcher or industry professional. Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours)

Bachelor of Biomedical Research (Honours)

This honours degree is for students who have successfully completed a relevant bachelor degree in areas including pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, nutrition and food sciences, natural sciences, laboratory medicine or medical science. You will develop and extend your research skills and specialist knowledge in the areas of biomedical, pharmaceutical, biological and chemical sciences. As part of this degree you will complete an advanced research project, which you will present at the end of your studies. This project will demonstrate your ability to collate data, prepare a thesis, reference, publish and present. Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine (Honours)

Studying the only degree in SA accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) will see you graduate with the knowledge and skills to enter the exciting world of diagnostic pathology or research. Your work will have a vital bearing on the welfare of patients, supporting clinicians in the diagnosis, management and treatment of disease, conducting research into causes and cures of disease, and developing improved methods for disease detection. You will gain practical experience in our on-campus laboratories and have the opportunity to practice these skills in real-world clinical settings when you complete industry experience across your third and fourth years. Students can undertake clinical placement in public and private pathology in metropolitan and regional locations, as well as veterinary, forensic science and translational research laboratories. Students may additionally qualify to participate in overseas study tours to gain insights into diagnostic pathology and medical research in countries such as Myanmar. The honours component of this degree focuses higher level studies which includes research training, which will see you complete research preparation and project courses in your fourth year.
