You could find employment as a clinical educator, supervisor or preceptor for health students.On completion of the Graduate Diploma in Health Professional Education you may choose to go on to study the Master of Health Professional Education.Graduates find work as educators in medicine, nursing, dentistry and allied health.

Enhance your current qualifications by extending your knowledge and technical skills in your profession or learn the fundamentals for a new career track in the natural and environmental sciences.Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Science find work in public and private sectors both in Australia and beyond.You could work in such roles as a marine biologist, conservation agent, educator, environmental manager, field or laboratory technician, geologist, research assistant, resource consultant, or science communicator.Students who complete the Graduate Diploma of Science are eligible for credit towards the Master of Science (Professional) and Master of Science degrees.

Graduates work in hospitals and a variety of health care settings and are eligible for professional registration in Australia as a General Nurse and a Midwife.Extensive professional experience placement and continuity of midwifery care experiences throughout the course enables real life clinical practice in rural, remote and tropical Australia.Your nursing career pathway could include intensive care, emergency, neurology, orthopaedics, radiology, communicable diseases, research, paediatrics and special care nurseries. Your midwifery career could include autonomous practice in private or group practice settings where you will provide continuity of care to women during their pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period.

JCU Information Technology graduates are ready to make a difference in a range of industry sectors.You could pursue a career in a multinational corporation, a government department, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME), or even in your own business. You could work in areas such as software development, design, gaming, and enterprise IT.You could work as a network administrator, designer, systems analyst, or software developer.Graduates are eligible to become an Associate Member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

JCU Business and Environmental Science graduates are leaders in sustainable business and implementation of environmental practice.Graduates pursue a range of business careers, including in environmental policy, resource management, and aquaculture.You could find employment as an environmental advisor, consultant, or academic in both private and public sectors.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Fundamentals can be completed in six months of full-time study and is offered by the College of Science and Engineering. The course articulates with the Bachelor of Information Technology and is also offered as an exit award for students enrolled in that degree.The Undergraduate Certificate is available in an online delivery mode.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Aged Care can be completed in six months of full-time study and is offered by the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The course articulates with the Bachelor of Healthy Ageing and is also offered as an exit award for students enrolled in that degree.The Undergraduate Certificate is available in an online delivery mode.

Students who achieve a grade point average of 5.0 or better in the first two years of the Bachelor of Speech Pathology may be accepted as a candidate for the Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) program in Year 3.Other students may be admitted at the discretion of the Dean (Education), subject to specific conditions.Graduates are eligible for membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia.Students who commence, but subsequently do not wish to complete, may be eligible to transfer into the three year Bachelor of Speech, Language and Hearing Science after completing the 72 units of topics required to complete the first two years of the Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours).

The Honours degree normally requires one year of full-time study. It is offered by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work.
