Diploma of Information Technology

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

The VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) is the senior secondary school qualification (Year 11 and Year 12) issued by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). Studying the VCE as an adult has many advantages, including: increased options for further study improving your ATAR score career change benefits a second chance to complete your secondary education qualification the opportunity to complete the certificate in one year (for adults returning to study). Studying the VCE at Victoria University Polytechnic, you have the option to commence selected Year 12 VCE subjects in Semester 2, 2019 on the Northern Hemisphere Timetable (NHT) and complete the subjects in Semester 1, 2020. Subjects can be selected from the Victorian Timetable (VT) and NHT. Upon successful completion, you can choose to pathway into TAFE or bachelor degree courses.

Certificate IV in Industrial Automation and Control

You will develop the skills required to assemble, set up, fault and maintain automated equipment associated with circuits and systems. Industrial automation and process control is a key trade area allowing many processes to run with minimal supervision. You’ll learn technical skills including: assembly and set up of electrical and pneumatic control systems programming of logic controllers and SCADA systems automation and process control problem solving and fault finding industrial machinery repair and maintenance. As part of your studies you will also learn the skills to supervise plant maintenance programs and provide technical advice to process staff.
