The Graduate Certificate in Society and the Individual requires one semester full-time study (or the equivalent part-time). The course is offered by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work.The course can be used as a pathway to the Master of Social Work (Graduate Entry) to equip students without sufficient prior studies in the social sciences with the necessary skills and knowledge. It also offers an employment pathway in the aged and disability sectors for students not continuing with the Masters level qualification.

The Graduate Certificate in Research Methods is an 18-unit program.The course provides students with high-level knowledge and skills in research methods.Students may choose to exit from the Graduate Diploma in Research Methods with the exit award of the Graduate Certificate in Research Methods, provided that they have met the requirements for that award.

Remote Health Practice

The Graduate Certificate in Remote Health Practice is an 18-unit program which is offered by the College of Medicine and Public Health. The program is only available on a part-time basis.The course articulates with the Graduate Diploma in Remote Health Practice and the Master of Remote and Indigenous Health and the sequentially developed topics allow progression through the three awards.Students in the programs undertake two core topics and are then able to select a specialty stream in either Ageing and Disability, Allied Health, Management, Medical or Nursing.The program was developed in collaboration with the Council of Remote Area Nurses and is offered on an external basis through the Centre for Remote Health in Alice Springs.
