It is recognised as being acceptable for Associate membership of CPA Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and entry to the ICAA graduate program. Course Accreditation Status To meet the accreditation requirements of CPA Australia, the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, students must complete Introduction to Australian Tax Law (TAXA2000 ) and Auditing, Assurance and Risk Management (ACCT3000). Professional Recognition Upon the successful completion of the course [including the completion of Introduction to Australian Tax Law (TAXA2000) and Auditing, Assurance and Risk Management (ACCT3000)], graduates are eligible to apply for associate membership with CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Graduates are also eligible to enter into the respective professional programs of CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

MC-ENVCLM v.1 Masters of Environment and Climate Emergency

Master Degrees (Coursework) prepare students to apply advanced knowledge for professional practice, scholarship and further learning corresponding to AQF level 9 qualifications. This course is a relaunch of the Master of Sustainability and Climate Policy. It develops knowledge, understanding and appreciation of what it means living within nature and our planetary boundaries. In a sense, it goes beyond sustainability and has developed out of the recent extinction rebellion and climate strike movements. The resultant Environment and Climate Emergency is increasingly accepted as policy by national, state and local governmental authorities across the world. The course aligns with Curtin strategy of demand driven research introducing a strong emphasis on research in a master by coursework to address a rapidly diversifying economy reflecting on a competitive job market and changes in students’ interests. To that purpose, the teaching and learning approach seeks to expose students to real world practice and challenges while favouring familiarisation with industry and local governments’ expectations when hiring graduates.
