The Master of Cybersecurity equips you with the knowledge and skills required to develop and maintain complex computing systems using cutting-edge technology and methods. In this course, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge required to identify, demonstrate, diagnose and fix flaws and threats in software systems. You’ll learn about system security, penetration testing, incident response, security management, reverse engineering and ethical hacking. Upon graduation, you’ll have the confidence and ability to pursue a career in cybersecurity testing, incident response, auditing and malware analysis.

Master of Counselling (Advanced)

This program is only available in Singapore. A comparable and equivalent program for Australian domestic students residing in Melbourne is the Master of Counselling (MA-COU). The course is available part-time in full-time and part-time formats. Swinburne University of Technology offers the Graduate Certificate of Counselling and the Graduate Diploma of Counselling as a pathway to the Master of Counselling (Advanced). The three programs constitute an accredited nested suite of courses with different exit points. The Master of Counselling (Advanced) refines skills in the area of professional counselling. The course is designed to advance counselling and research skills of people currently employed or interested in employment in one of the human services sectors (i.e. education, mental health, health, community, justice and welfare sectors). Graduates of the program would be eligible to register as professional counsellors in Singapore.

The Master of Counselling provides students with a range of counselling skills that can be applied across work settings, client types and cultural groups. Students specialise in human services counselling, couple counselling or forensic counselling. The course is designed to meet the needs of those employed in the human services sector (such as mental health, general health care, education, law and mediation, justice and welfare, and public service fields) or those who have an interest in the specialist fields of couple counselling or forensic counselling. Each stream includes placements in industry. Placements are tailored specifically to students’ level of experience, interests and availability.

Our unique placement within the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship at Swinburne, coupled with insights from our industry partners, ensures that this degree is practical, current and pro-actively focused. You will acquire skills in all aspects of corporate governance including leadership; the legal obligations of company officers and directors; accounting fundamentals, risk decision-making; and management, strategy and corporate culture. You will also have the opportunity to undertake governance projects in both profit and non-profit organisational contexts.

The Master of Business Information Systems has been designed to provide students with an understanding of the use and management of information systems in organisations. The course offers students the knowledge and skills required to work as an analyst in this field. Students learn about the underpinnings of information systems, including studies in business analysis, IT project management and enterprise information management, requirements analysis, database design and professional issues. They also learn how to approach organisational problems from a broader, interdisciplinary perspective, and address information systems risk management, enterprise architecture, and information systems strategy and governance. Students select a specialisation from business analysis, IT project management or enterprise information management, and may broaden their study by undertaking elective units. Students complete a research project, enabling them to build an area of expertise.
