However, when Government guidelines change, on-campus studies will be reintroduced.The Graduate Diploma of Logistics Management (1-year of full-time study or equivalent) provides a comprehensive postgraduate course for people who wish to seek professional careers in the globally spanning domain of logistics management, logistics strategies and supply chain management. In this program, students acquire specific knowledge and skills to manage and coordinate logistics operations, as well as to formulate, design and implement logistics strategies and systems in a diverse range of industries such as manufacturing, retail, agribusiness, etc. Students will obtain knowledge and skills to develop solutions for a range of complex issues faced by organisations engaged in both domestic and international logistics business activities.The core units of the program are in business logistics, supply chain management, strategic procurement and warehousing. This advanced diploma is aimed at individuals wanting a career in the international shipping industry. Graduates will become Electro-Technical Officers on commercial vessels. It is suitable for students who complete an Australian State recognised electrical trade licence and existing seafarers wishing to upgrade their qualifications.On completion of the course, graduates will have the knowledge and skills required to undertake Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) oral examination for Certificate of Competency as ETO.Course content includes engineering fundamentals, marine electrical engineering, marine legislation, shipboard safety, controls systems, and management.This course is fully compliant with the education and training requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), 1978 as amended.Course Coordinator: Gamini Lokuketagoda / G.Lokuketagoda@amc.edu.au

This program of study is provided for students who intend to embark on a career in the maritime industry as Marine Engineer Officers on commercial vessels. It provides the knowledge and skills required to safely manage, facilitate, and undertake operation and maintenance linked to the shipboard marine engineering systems. Course content includes marine engineering and systems, vessel structure and operations, cargo and passenger transport, vessel management, marine legislation, marine survey and shipboard safety. The program is designed to integrate with professional short courses and training at sea so that successful students will not only obtain an Advanced Diploma or bachelor degree but also an Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Certificate of Competency. The program is fully compliant with the training and educational requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), 2010 as amended. The Diploma of University Studies is designed as an alternative entry pathway to university study. In each specialisation, students study units which provide the skills and knowledge related to their intended degree and are provided with additional support to maximise their chances of success. Completion of the Diploma will provide achievement at Introductory level in up to five units.Specialisations offered in the Diploma of University Studies are Arts, Business, Education, Engineering, Health Science, Nursing Foundation Studies, Psychology, Science, and Social Work.The course is offered full time or part time.
