This program educates the next generation of dental professionals at the Oral Health Centre, a $138 million state-of-the-art tertiary oral health facility in Australia. With a focus on smaller cohorts and dedicated and specialist teachers, you will not only learn the science and acquire the technical skills to care for patients and prevent, diagnose, treat oral diseases & abnormalities, but also master the technical skills and knowledge needed to provide quality oral healthcare and make a genuine difference to the lives of others. This program ensures graduates will be workforce ready. You will commence learning in a simulated environment from your first semester and develop knowledge which provide the clinical and biomedical foundations relevant to dentistry. You will gain in depth theoretical knowledge and complete approximately 1,900 hours of practical placements in a variety of clinical settings with the possibility of a clinical placement in Government and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Service clinics throughout Queensland or interstate.

Bachelor of Science students are able to make flexible choices from a broad based set of courses in their first year which lay the foundation for access to a specialised major by their third year. The Bachelor of Law degree includes a core of prescribed courses and a range of electives. Compulsory areas include contracts, torts, criminal law, equity and property.

The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB(Hons)) degree is your passport to exceptional success in the employment market: as a barrister or solicitor in private practice, as a prosecutor of crime, as a community lawyer, as a legal officer in the public service, as in-house counsel for a large corporation, or, when combined with another degree in any one of a wide range of positions in areas such as foreign affairs, industrial relations, management, or politics.
