The Master Finance (Professional) is a quantitatively rigorous program which integrates innovative subjects that highlight Bond’s excellence in experiential and case-based teaching. The professional program follows the same structure as the Master of Finance program with an additional 20-week Professional component.The classes combine theoretical knowledge in Finance with practical insights delivered through case studies and guest lectures. The Master of Finance (Professional) program’s small class sizes allow for personalised attention and unparalleled access to Bloomberg terminals and our two trading rooms. The program equips students to think critically, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in a global business context characterised by change and uncertainty.

Bachelor of Interactive Media and Design**

The Bachelor of Interactive Media and Design prepares students for a fast-paced career in innovative design, technology and cutting edge interactive experiences. Students will be exposed to a practical skills driven curriculum nurtured through mentoring focused on creative industries standards in art, design and coding. Subjects are available that focus on developing skills in graphic design, website design and deployment, 3D modelling and animation, computer games and interactive experience creation, narratology, visual communication, virtual and augmented reality, critical thinking and problem solving and working with emerging technologies. Specialisations within the degree include Computer Games, Digital Media, Advertising, Communications and Film and Television.

Bachelor of Commerce (3 Year Program)

Designed for students who wish to study via a two-semester model, this three-year program means you will study during the January and September semesters of each year only and will complete the degree overthree years rather than the usual two. The Bachelor of Commerce (3 Year) develops financial literacy, business analytic and decision-making skills, leadership, and management skills through experiential learning and authentic assessment tasks relevant to the choice of major. The program equips students to think creatively and critically, problem-solve, communicate professionally, work collaboratively, make ethical and responsible business decisions, and work effectively in a global business context characterised by change and uncertainty. Depending on the major selected, students are prepared for a professional career in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Economics or Finance fields. By undertaking a specified set of subjects according to their chosen discipline, Bachelor of Commerce (3 Year) students graduating with an Accounting, Actuarial Science or Finance major are eligible to pursue professional qualifications offered by their field’s governing bodies. Students are also encouraged to complete a second major or minor to diversify their skills and enhance their employability.

Bachelor of Film and Television (3 Year Program)

Designed for international students who wish to study via a two-semester model, this three-year program allows you to study for only two semesters of each year, and you will complete the degree overthree-years rather than the usual two.The Bachelor of Film and Television is a heavily hands-on and project-based degree, which allows students to balance practical filmmaking production experience with creative practice theory, which enables them to explore and develop their individual creativity and artistic voice. This comprehensive filmmaking program is focused on visual storytelling through the key creative areas of producing, screenwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, sound design, production design, and television broadcasting. Teaching is by staff with long professional careers in the film, television and screen-based industries. Students acquire craft skills in modern production techniques, using professional filmmaking equipment and technologies. Students develop strong visual aesthetics, and storytelling capabilities, and receive insight into the business and industrial aspects of the international film, television and screen-based industries.

Bachelor of Business (3 Year Program)

Designed for students who wish to study via a two-semester model, this three-year program means you will study during the January and September semesters of each year only and will complete the degree overthree years rather than the usual two. The Bachelor of Business prepares students for a variety of possible career paths by offering a broad range of study options. These options include Entrepreneurship and Innovation, International Business, Management, Marketing, Marketing Communication and Tourism Management. All students complete a major from one of these options, but may also choose to add a second major, a minor, or create a tailored set of subjects from across the university to complete their degree. Students are encouraged to complete an internship, take up study abroad opportunities or a study tour to further augment this highly experiential program.

Doctor of Physiotherapy

The Doctor of Physiotherapy program offers an innovative problem- and case-based learning model of physiotherapy education to prepare entry-level physiotherapists for their roles and responsibilities as first-contact practitioners. The program integrates the clinical, pathological and related basic sciences with the physiotherapy knowledge, skills and professional behaviours and attitudes required to examine, diagnose and treat physiotherapy clients. The Doctor of Physiotherapy assists students to progressively develop and apply their knowledge, skills and professional attitudes and behaviours to undertake physiotherapy practice and places a strong emphasis on clinical experiential learning with up to 1440 hours of learning in a clinical environment. Clinical practice experiences are designed to produce work-ready, entry-level graduates who are competent to practise across the lifespan in a range of environments and settings. Variable experiences across the lifespan are sought in the clinical areas of:Orthopaedics; Cardiorespiratory practice; outpatient musculoskeletal practice (hospital or private practice settings); neurological and ortho-geriatric rehabilitation (hospital and community settings); community rehabilitation across the lifespan - chronic disease or disability; and paediatrics or women’s / men’s health, or private / sports practice. In the final semester, students complete a research project and an elective placement or elective coursework subject, both of which are designed to extend the skills and knowledge of the student beyond commonly encountered clinical experiences. These extending clinical / research and coursework opportunities are designed to ensure graduates are well prepared for entry into the physiotherapy workforce.

The Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) at the Abedian School of Architecture is designed to create emerging architectural professionals with fundamental competencies in design ability, problem solving, technical skill, and theoretical frameworks, that give graduates the capability to address complex problems of the built and natural environment in the 21st century and beyond. Professional architectural concerns of detailing, documentation, and basic practice concepts are delivered to establish a foundational basis for the commercial world of architectural practice. The Bachelor of Architectural Studies developed by the Abedian School of Architecture places emphasis on developing students that are experienced in innovative technologies and are adventurous in their creative design. This program recognises the challenges of designing for diverse communities and cultures in a globalised world where there are modernising threats to traditional cultures, complexities in generating sustainable environments and constant change in technological aspects of modern life. Public engagement is fostered through an annual lecture series that highlights the work and ideas of national and international practitioners and academics; special exhibitions of work; and various forms of publication and dissemination. This degree provides the pathway for a career as a professional architect. Graduates of this program may progress to the Master of Architecture upon application and review of undergraduate performance. Completion of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies does not qualify for automatic entry to the Masters.

The program places a major emphasis on independent inquiry (initiative), a thorough understanding of domain specific knowledge, competence in research methodologies and on the ability to communicate research results.

Master of Construction Practice (Professional)

The Master of Construction Practice covers a comprehensive range of subjects in the field of construction practice, focusing on the management and delivery of complex construction projects. The curriculum addresses a range of topics including building structures and soil mechanics, construction technology, construction techniques, plant and equipment, contract administration, building measurement, finance and cost planning, project management, refurbishment and retrofitting and risks. The program is accredited by the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). The program also meets the educational requirements of the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) for attainment of an Open Builders License. The ’Professional’ component of the degree involves an additional 20 weeks to the Master of Construction Practice program. This component enables students to develop their work ready skills to expand their analytic and strategic thinking capabilities through self analysis focused on work place outcomes and context. Italso provides practical experience for students to appreciate the requirements of an industry workplace and develop their communication skills to improve their employability. Students will undertake either a Work Placement in Australia (210 hours) OR a complete Professional Program (210 hours) that offers students a mix of classroom learning and practical experiences incorporating skills sessions, industry guest involvement, projects and practical assessment pieces replicating workplace tasks.
