The Master of Education Advanced is a higher degree for both professional educators and for those who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) or in Educational Leadership. The degree extends the course learning outcomes of the Master of Education, in a two year program.The Master of Education Advanced offers candidates the opportunity to specialise in either TESOL, or Educational Leadership, introducing them to the contemporary trends and issues in research, theory and practice.

Master of Public Health Extension

The Master of Public Health Extension is designed to provide more options for graduate public health studies. It has the same structure as the Master of Public Health, with the additional requirement of a second specialisation of advanced study - an additional 24 credit points of either coursework or research studies. This allows you to tailor your learning to your career aspirations.This is a flexible degree designed to give you a broad introduction to public health whilst equipping you with the skills and knowledge to define, critically assess and resolve public health issues within a community. This flexible and interest driven program allows you to develop, analyse and implement policy, plan and evaluate health services and programs whilst working towards your career goals. The program is structured in a manner that responds to the constantly changing health and social issues both at the local and international level. Master of Research

The Master of Research degree comprises research and research training, requiring students to complete 96 credit points of subjects. The first year comprises of 48 credit points of research training and coursework while the second year comprises a 48 credit point thesis, which is assessed by two external examiners. The Master of Philosophy provides an opportunity for students to pursue independent research in discipline areas associated with . The Master of Philosophy comprises 24 credit points of coursework and a 72 credit point thesis. Academic Units may award advanced standing for the coursework component and will determine the appropriate entry point.Students are encouraged to talk to potential supervisors to discuss research topics. In the Master of Business Administration (MBA), students are able to integrate advanced knowledge of recent developments in business disciplines and professional practice, analyse real-world business situations, and create innovative, sustainable and judicious solutions to such challenges. Additionally, students are able to execute ideas and plans through their development of a range of organisational and communication skills.Guided by the Faculty’s commitment to responsible and sustainable leadership, the MBA is structured around a set of ten core subjects, organised in three phases, and commences with Diagnostics, where students learn to diagnose issues in real organisations with a focus on accounting, marketing, and employee engagement and talent management; followed by Exploration, where students explore the latest thinking and practices in organisations and research worldwide while developing skills in business transformation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and financial strategy and governance; and culminates in Integration and Application, where students develop their strategic decision-making skills, undertake a real-world business project, hone their personal effectiveness as responsible leaders, and address challenges and opportunities from participant organisations through engagement in masterclasses and a conference.Students’ learning activities include relevant and current case studies that compare theory with examples of leading edge organisational practices, guest lectures delivered by industry professionals, peer learning and critical reflection, followed by assessments that focus on using and applying knowledge and skills in real-life settings. The collective learning experience and authentic assessments enable students to attain knowledge and skills to standards that are commensurate with those of international business education requirements, and a Level 9 AQF qualification.The MBA (Advanced) course offers students the opportunity to specialise in their area of interest by completing additional prescribed and/or elective subjects. The course has a strategic focus designed for students who require the knowledge, competencies and managerial skills necessary to operate in a challenging and changing global environment.

This program is also designed to prepare students for further postgraduate research degrees in statistics.

The Master of Mathematics is designed for candidates holding a Bachelor degree with a minor (or major) study in Mathematics, or equivalent, to undertake further studies in mathematics as preparation for a postgraduate research degree or work as a mathematician in business and government. This program is designed to consolidate and expand existing mathematics knowledge and to develop skills in undertaking mathematical research projects. It is also suitable for Mathematics graduates who have worked for a few years and need to upgrade their skills and knowledge.Recognising that in a work environment mathematicians are often involved in diverse areas which require further professional enhancement, the degree allows limited studies in another discipline. This option is seen as particularly relevant for both Australian and international candidates with some work experience.
