You may find however; a couple of electives do have a face-to-face component. These can be avoided depending on your individual preferences. The importance of sleep in maintaining good health and longevity has become well recognised and the discipline of sleep medicine is rapidly growing as a result. Today, sleep medicine is a subspecialty that impacts a number of medical fields, including respiratory medicine, cardiology, neurology, paediatrics, dentistry and psychology.The program is delivered online by internationally recognised clinicians, academics and researchers and is suitable for training domestic and international clinicians from a range of professional backgrounds – including dentists, scientists, nurses and psychologists.This course is for graduates with either a medical degree or a background in a relevant health or science discipline. Please note: applications for semester two entry are not open in 2020. Applications will re-open for student to apply for Semester 1, 2021.

Master of Science in Medicine (Clinical Neurophysiology)

Clinical neurophysiology is a broad discipline, encompassing diagnostic services for patients presenting with neurological dysfunction, systemic diseases and critical illnesses, through to the provision of intraoperative monitoring of the nervous system during at-risk procedures.Why study this course?In this program you will learn from experienced and expert anaesthetists, neurologists and neurophysiology scientists from Australia and overseas.Primarily taught online, your studies will be supplemented by intensive face-to-face teaching sessions which include practical experience in simulated diagnostic and perioperative settings.Who should study this course?This course is designed for scientists and trainee scientists with relevant work experience in neurophysiology laboratories or clinics. It aims to provide structured educational programs in neurophysiological monitoring to complement experiential learning in the workplace. This is the only postgraduate coursework of its kind in Australia.Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) are available for this course for eligible domestic students. This means that your course fees are subsidised by the Australian Government and you pay a student contribution amount (SCA). CSP places are limited in number and are allocated based on academic merit.Please ensure your CV includes details of any relevant work or other experience. Please note that you cannot retain a CSP if you upgrade or downgrade to another course after enrolment.
