The Graduate Certificate of Health Services Management is designed to extend knowledge gained through your undergraduate health studies.

This course will prepare you for management within the healthcare sector, by developing your understanding of:

the impact of technological innovation in healthcare management and service delivery managing human and financial resources planning for change in different contexts.

You will explore delivery processes, critical reflection on own decision-making processes, and the effects of policy and politics on health care provision and access.

It is expected that you will already be employed or have recent management experience within the health sector.

As part of this course, you will undertake assessments which have direct applications to your professional practice and context.

On completion of this course, you may progress to the master's qualification specific to your discipline, with advanced standing for completed studies.

The discounted fees only apply to new student course enrolments in Semester 2, 2020.

To be eligible you must study full time and complete all 40 credit points by December 2020.

Future enrolments (2021) will be charged at the standard rate, without a discount.

Entry requirements

Successful completion of a bachelor degree in health studies, management, business or equivalent. Applicants must provide evidence of employment or recent experience in a health setting in a management capacity in their SATAC application. Consideration will also be given to applicants who have at least five years appropriate professional experience in middle to higher level management in a health service organisation.
