In this course you’ll explore play-based learning and get hands-on experience with a range of teaching and learning methods.You’ll explore areas of the primary curriculum including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education and the Arts, with a focus on early childhood learning and development.As you complete your degree, you’ll build an online portfolio to share your experience with future employers.

Before you start your first prac, you’ll be able to practise dealing with challenging behaviour, parent teacher interviews and other situations through our SimLabTM technology.

Entry requirements

Advanced Standing

Everyone has a different path to university so if you’ve already completed formal or informal learning, you could receive advanced standing. Also known as recognition of prior learning, advanced standing can reduce the amount of study needed to complete your degree by giving you credit for certain units.

Formal learning can include previous study in higher education vocational education or adult and community education. Informal learning can include on the job learning, various kinds of work and life experience.
