About

The Bachelor of Mathematics is a three-year program catering to high-achieving students seeking to develop a comprehensive specialised knowledge in a field of mathematics or a high level of sophistication in the applications of mathematics.

Mathematics is one of the most enduring fields of study and has consistently been proven as essential in an expanding number of disciplines and professions.

Modern computation, advances in scientific technology and the increasing production of data have all increased the scope for applications of mathematics well beyond the traditional areas of engineering and the physical sciences, to include fields such as finance, economics, information technology and molecular biology.

This program has been revised from 2021.

Students who commenced in the program from 2021 should refer to the:

Bachelor of Mathematics — 2460.

If you are interested in further information about the revised program structure, please contact the Faculty of Science Student Enquiries Office.
