Mathematics/Business Management

University of Queensland

About

The dual four-year program provides students with a focused background in economic theories and principles, along with the in-depth knowledge of a mathematics degree.

In the Mathematics component you will choose to develop a comprehensive specialised knowledge in one field of mathematics or a high level of sophistication in the applications of mathematics.

Modern computation, advances in scientific technology and the increasing production of data have all increased the scope for applications of mathematics well beyond the traditional areas of engineering and the physical sciences, to include fields such as finance, economics, information technology and molecular biology.

In the Business Management component, the compulsory courses allow you to develop core business skills.

This program has been revised from 2021.

Students who commenced in the program from 2021 should refer to the:

Bachelor of Mathematics / Business Management — 2500.

If you are interested in further information about the revised program structure, please contact the Faculty of Science Student Enquiries Office.
