UWA's admission requirements for some postgraduate courses have changed for Semester 2, 2020 to facilitate student access to study during the COVID-19 situation.

In many cases, these changes may not be extended beyond 2020.

Contact Future Students for more information.The degree of Doctor of Science is awarded for independent and original research which constitutes a substantial and distinguished contribution to the knowledge and understanding of any branch of learning with which the Faculty is concerned.

The candidate's work should demonstrate a high degree of innovative thinking in the development and testing of hypotheses and new investigative procedures, and should be recognised as such by the scientific community at large.

The University Policy on: Higher Doctorates applies to the Doctor of Science.
