The University of Western Australia

About

UWA's admission requirements for some postgraduate courses have changed for Semester 2, 2020 to facilitate student access to study during the COVID-19 situation.

In many cases, these changes may not be extended beyond 2020.

Contact Future Students for more information. This course caters for students with a bachelor's degree in a non-engineering area of study (e.g.

a Bachelor of Science), and is designed to enable students to move into the professionally accredited Master of Professional Engineering on completion.

A student who has completed some studies in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics to an appropriate level within their undergraduate bachelor's degree may be eligible to have these studies recognised, reducing the length of their course.

Structure

(1) The course comprises the units required for admission to the Master of Professional Engineering taken from the following: (a) units required to complete a degree-specific major in Engineering Science (MJD-ENGSC) as relevant to the choice of program in the Master of Professional Engineering; and (b) where there are unmet prerequisites, additional units from those offered in the Bachelor of Science and approved by the Faculty.
