UWA's admission requirements for some postgraduate courses have changed for Semester 2, 2020 to facilitate student access to study during the COVID-19 situation.

In many cases, these changes may not be extended beyond 2020.

Contact Future Students for more information.This course consists of a total of 26 units over four years comprising the integration of the following modules:

DMD core modules, which include fundamental dental sciences and fundamental medical sciences;

and DMD clinical practice modules, which include clinical dental sciences organised in four domains ranging from patient care to preventive and conservative dentistry to restorative dentistry to child and adolescent dental health.

All units have a value of six points unless otherwise stated.

Note: Units that are indicated as N/A may be available in 2021 or 2022.

Students who commenced in 2017 or before are advised to refer to the 2017 Handbook.

Students who fail units in the second year of the course in 2018 and are deemed to have made unsatisfactory progress, may be required to take the remediation unit in 2019.

4.(1) To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—

(1) a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and

(2) the equivalent of a UWA grade point average (GPA) of at least 5.5; and

(3) (a) a Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) overall score of at least 50 and no section score less than 50 for domestic applicants;

or

(b) a Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) score of 123/123/123/123 for international applicants;

or

(c) a Dental Aptitude Test (DAT);

or

(d) a place in a Direct Pathway into this course.
