This master degree will not only help to further extend practical skills in your chosen specialisation, but it will also provide you with valuable business management skills. The specialised fields you are able to choose from include: photo, digital and graphic media painting and drawing spatial studies, involving public art, sculpture, textiles, glass, ceramics, jewellery/metal, furniture, and illustration. A key focus is on the development and application of research processes and methodologies and you will graduate with the cognitive skills needed to review and analyse information. You will also develop skills in marketing and critical analysis. Advanced Standing Applicants who have completed a Bachelor (Honours) degree in a related discipline are eligible to enter the program with 1.0 EFTSL Advanced Standing and complete the program in 1 year of full time study or equivalent part time study. Applicants must also submit a portfolio of work, curriculum vitae and a written statement of intent.

The Master of Information Management (Archives and Records Management) is the only qualification of its kind in South Australia. It leverages a unique partnership with the State Library and State Records of South Australia, it offers a learning environment informed by industry and relevant professional practice. The degree is offered as part of a suite of three programs (graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master). Each qualification extends to the next, so you can easily transition to a master level qualification. If you decide to exit this degree having completed the first four courses you will receive the Graduate Certificate in Information Management. If you have completed the first nine courses you will receive the Graduate Diploma in Information Management (Archives and Records Management). There is the option to complete a minor thesis on a topic of your choice which could result in your eligibility to apply for a PhD.

The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program involves preparing a thesis that will make an original contribution to the specific subject area. The Faculty of Engineering focuses on multidisciplinary research centered on various key themes: field robotics; agricultural engineering; biomedical engineering and technologies; human-centered technology; complex systems; materials and structures; food processing; clean, intelligent energy networks; and water and the environment.In the Master of Philosophy program you will engage in research either full-time for not less than one year or part-time for not less than two years. If at the annual review your performance is deemed outstanding, you may be recommended for an upgrade to a PhD.

In response to emerging industry trends, QUT has revised our postgraduate IT offerings. In our Master of Information Technology, we are offering three new majors, and have updated our existing majors to align with those emerging IT industry trends. We offer one of the largest choice of study specialisations within a postgraduate IT degree with eight majors, ranging from those connecting IT to business domains (e.g. Business Analysis) to those highly technically in nature (e.g. Software Development).

There will be no further intake into this program from Trimester 3 2013.The goal of the DBA is to increase the competencies of practising managers and business professionals and to better equip them with the capability to make a leadership contribution to their own organisations, wider industries and communities.The University of Newcastle DBA is coursework-focused, with two-thirds of the award related to high level coursework in business studies and one third of the award focused on research training.The program will develop in graduates rigorous, in-depth, analytical and critically self-reflective skills well beyond the Masters level. The DBA will also provide business executives with the tools to undertake significant applied research in order to perform in an increasingly competitive global business environment.The curriculum offers successful candidates a highly customised program including further advanced postgraduate study beyond that achieved in an MBA. Courses extend the candidate's knowledge in new areas not previously undertaken and/or deepen their knowledge in a chosen field.
