This will put your skills in high demand, as a Food Technologist with a deep understanding of business and management practices, and as a Manager with a deep understanding of the scientific principles governing food production and safety. You will be able to apply the knowledge and skills gained in the core areas of management in a diverse range of political, social, environmental and economic contexts.In undertaking the program you will actively explore and apply management theory through problem-based and work-relevant activities which may include face-to-face, online, self-directed, collaborative and individual learning experience and is delivered on-campus.In the final year of the program, the capstone experience course BUSM4546 Management in Practice provides the culmination of the knowledge, skills and applied work practice experiences that prepare you to transit in the business world, and ONPS 2496 Product Development gives you experience in developing or reverse engineering a food product.On successful completion of the program, you will be able to work within a wide range of organisations and industries in varied roles, and career entry positions, such as business administration, management consulting and strategy analysis. The program will provide you with a basis for further development of your knowledge and skills in management, and for further study in business and management.The courses in this program are taught face to face. For the first 3 semesters, the courses are in the city campus of RMIT, while in the later semesters, the Food Technology courses are taught at the Bundoora campus in order to access the state of the art food processing pilot plant.

The prime objective of this program is to produce RMIT graduates who are registrable as chiropractors in Australia. The key to achieving this is the maintenance and enhancement of a program that meets or exceeds the applicable Accreditation Standards.The program is designed as a holistic, integrated five-year sequence, which will skill you for entry into the Chiropractic profession. It is not possible to exit the program with a single three year degree in either Health or Applied Science. As an RMIT chiropractor, you will be a technologically articulate generalist healthcare worker, predictive and preventive in a holistic manner who will contribute to improving and enhancing the overall health, wellbeing and quality of life of your patients. You will be a team-player within the health care system and highly regarded as expert in the assessment and management of functional articulation disordersof the musculoskeletal system for the specific purpose of achieving optimal function. In promoting good mechanical health as an essential component of good general health you will engage in daily health promotion enhanced by supportive measures such as exercise, nutrition and advice on healthy living.The course REHA2240 Chiropractic Clinical Practice 4 is a capstone experience in which you will integrate and apply all your prior skills and knowledge as you make the transition from student to work-ready graduate. You will undertake supervised clinical practice in a chiropractic clinic dealing with typical and atypical clinical presentations and undertake reflective case mix analysis.

Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy)

The objective of this program is to produce graduates with the foundation knowledge and clinical skills to safely and competently undertake general osteopathic practice. It is designed to integrate foundation and clinical sciences with clinical skills and application in a five-year, sequenced course structure. The program also provides a basis for further education and research in health related fields.You will be exposed to both real life and simulated clinical scenarios through the program, allowing you the opportunity to explore, integrate, and apply academic and practical knowledge. This activity is facilitated, supervised, and assessed by AHPRA registered practitioners. Work integrated learning opportunities are provided via the RMIT Health Sciences Clinic and/or similar clinical facilities.The capstone course REHA2225 - Osteopathic Practice Portfolio, undertaken in Semester 2 of your final year of study, prepares you for your transition to professional life, and is a culmination of prior osteopathic academic, clinical, and professional learning and experience.Courses within the program utilise multi-modal delivery methods such as face-to-face, online, and blended delivery. The program requires on campus attendance. Enrolment is full-time only. There are no options for part-time enrolment. The integrated nature of the program means that it is not possible to exit with a single three year degree in either Health or Applied Science.

Bachelor of Health Science/Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine)

The overall objective of the Bachelor of Health Science / Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine) double degree program is to prepare you to become a professionally competent and responsible Chinese Medicine practitioner who is eligible to be registered by the CMRB/CMBA. The Program also aims to provide you with the qualifications necessary to become a member of Chinese medicine professional associations.The program is designed as a holistic, integrated five-year sequence, which will skill you for entry into the Chinese Medicine profession. It is not possible to exit the program with a single three year degree in either Health or Applied Science.The final year of the program prepares you for employment with capstone courses COTH2129 Supervised Clinical Practice 2 and COTH2042 Clinical Internship.This combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, clinical experience and recognised qualifications aims to prepare you for a career in Chinese medicine which may involve independent practice, employment in a multi-discipline health care clinic, teaching and/or research.You will be provided with opportunities to employ the knowledge and skills in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine that you acquire from this program in clinical practice at the RMIT Teaching Clinic. In addition, during the internship you will experience practice in a public hospital in China and acquire skills in the management of a wide range of disorders. Fluency in the Chinese language is not a requirement for this Internship practicum.This program is offered in face-to-face mode (on campus), with support for flexible learning where appropriate.
