This course highlights the diversity of learning differences, which provides educators with advanced knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with a range of learning differences and inclusion practices. In addition, the Graduate Certificate addresses challenges and issues faced by mainstream teachers in 21st Century educational practice. Graduates can progress to further postgraduate studies in related fields of education. They can also advance their career in advisory roles specific to inclusion, differentiation and learning difference practices, in addition to being involved in resource teams in schools.

Students will attain advanced knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with Mental Health challenges, in particular, the three most prominent issues facing contemporary educators, Anxiety, Depression and Eating Disorders; and the Learning stream, which provides educators with advanced knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with a range of mental health challenges. Each of these areas of mental health addresses challenges and issues faced by mainstream teachers in 21st Century educational practice. This course offers a model of support and flexible tailored learning to suit individual student needs. You will advance your understanding of Mental Health, and be able to apply positive support skills directly into a range of educational environments. N.B. This is not an accredited Australian Initial Teacher Education course and therefore does not qualify the student to teach in Australia.

Graduates of the Graduate Certificate of Education (Special Education) can progress to further postgraduate studies in related fields of education. They can also advance and diversify their position in the education field, such as advisory roles. Further, a qualification in special education opens opportunities for Graduates to work in special schools as well as expert roles in mainstream schools. N.B. This is not an accredited Australian Initial Teacher Education course and therefore does not qualify the student to teach in Australia.

This course is available to study on-campus in or online and is both a stand-alone qualification as well as a pathway to the Graduate Diploma or the Master of Global Project Management.

This course is theoretically rich and production-orientated. In just 6 months you’ll evaluate design from an interdisciplinary perspective; analyse design issues; develop new strategies as a design professional; and apply your practical skills to real-world projects. The emphasis in the Interdisciplinary Design Project subject is on understanding through making. You’ll explore the context in which your designs will be used and analyse how they can enrich the world of the user. Your second subject in this short, intense course, Design Research, will give you the opportunity to engage with texts that are influential in the way designers think about their designs and how they will be used. You’ll complete the course with a current and well-informed understanding of the design process. You’ll recognise the impact design projects and commissions have on the life of the end user. And, you’ll be ready to tackle commissions laterally with imagination and skill. Importantly, this course will give you the opportunity to take some time out from your routine and analyse what design means to you, and it will enhance your design career. Then you can continue with further studies in your field, if you wish, and bring greater insights and expertise to your practice of design.

Across the 4 core subjects, you’ll cover the use and customisation of content and technology systems for the delivery of online content. You’ll explore the practicalities of hosting platforms, performance measurement and metrics systems for your online content. And collaborating with other students and led by industry professionals who share your passion for UX and web design, you’ll discover agile design and project management methodologies, find out how to use story-based analysis to inform the design, and ways to develop interactive features. Don’t stop there! On graduation, you can keep studying at the Diploma or Bachelor level, and bring your skills, which are in demand across a range of industries, to roles such as information architect, interaction designer, online producer, user experience designer, user interface design, and web designer.

If you’re a keen photographer who’s ready to take your skills to the next level and perhaps make photography your career, this diploma course will be perfect for you. It will give you a broad base of generalist photo imaging knowledge and experience. Interweaving theory and practice, you will gain skills in using software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Premiere, as well as the know-how to use equipment such as DSLR cameras, studio lighting, video rigs, and more. You’ll explore both still image and video formats, and learn real workplace procedures so you have the confidence to manage many types of photography assignments from start to finish. By studying the Diploma of Beauty and Spa Practice, you will have the option upon completion, to upgrade your qualifications to a bachelor’s degree.
