The educators from RMIT University liaise closely with your workplace supervisors to facilitate training that meets your individual learning needs.The program is delivered through:on-the-job training face-to-face classroom theory-based courses hands-on practical-based workshops online learning resourcesAs a trainee, you will get on-the-job experience in your workplace at either a public or private dental clinic, and off-the-job training at RMIT.Off-the-job training is delivered through a combination of on- and off-campus study, and is supported by self-paced learning materials.During your studies you will need to complete two workplace assessments conducted at the workplace. You will also be expected to demonstrate competency on the practical component of the program and complete the HLTDEN001 Clinical Logbook.

As an employed apprentice, this qualification allows you to specialise in a number of plumbing streams.There are 2 options offered by R.M.I.T:1. In the general plumber program, you specialise in 5 streams: gasfitting, water, sanitary, roofing and drainage.2. If you or your employer chooses the mechanical plumber program, you specialise in 6 streams: gasfitting, water, sanitary, roofing, drainage and mechanical.By successfully completing the Certificate lll in Plumbing, you are eligible to apply for registration with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA).(Note: To obtain a 'restricted split systems air conditioning refrigerant handling licence', you need to enrol in the MEM20105 Certificate ll in Engineering at R.M.I.T, and demonstrate competency in this qualification before you can apply for this licence through ARC).
