Contact Future Students for more information.This pre-service course is intended to prepare psychology graduates for employment as school psychologists within the government and non-government sectors. The course exposes students to a range of relevant theories, processes and practices appropriate for the provision of psychological services to schools, teachers and students. It introduces students to psychological and educational assessment, counselling, and clinical units that address an understanding of many mental health issues and childhood disorders. At the conclusion of the course students should be able to demonstrate competency in assessment and counselling as well as understanding the management options for clinical issues. The prerequisite for this course is a four-year degree in psychology. Applicants must have completed an approved course of study in psychology and be eligible for registration as a psychologist.
