The Bachelor of Environmental Science / Bachelor of Business (Management) double degree program is designed to provide you with a thorough knowledge of both environmental science and management principles and practices. The impetus for this program has come from employers wanting environmental science graduates with a sound knowledge of the business management principles needed to implement environmental policy.As a contemporary environmental scientist, you will understand the scientific, social and heritage aspects of environmetal problems. You will have a broad understanding of the biogeochemical processes operating in the Earth systems and have sufficient scientific and technical specialisation to be able to effectively identify, investigate and solve environmental problems. You will work in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. You will act responsibly, ethically, safely and legally in your professional life and maintain your qualifications through independent life-long learning.In the Bachelor of Environmental Science degree program at RMIT you will study a broad and coherent body of knowledge related to the Earth's systems, especially the hydrosphere, ecosphere, atmosphere and lithosphere, and the impacts of humans on our environment. Graduates gain extensive fieldwork experience and demonstrate your work readiness by completing two final year, capstone, work integrated learning courses (ENVI1145 Environmental Sampling and Analysis and ONPS2186 Science Project) that require work in multidisciplinary teams and effective communication with a range of stakeholders.You will complete a minor in either Environmental Biology or Environmental Chemistry and have specialisations in or developed breadth across the other available minors, including Geosciences (Environmental Engineering) and Geospatial Science.As a result, you are well prepared for the types of positions available in the workplace, such as in environmental consultancies, government agencies, resource management, research, education and in mining / manufacturing industries.The Bachelor of Business (Management) program provides you with critical and broad ranging studies to enable you to enter graduate positions in administration and management. The program provides you with opportunities to develop the required knowledge and outcomes to operate successfully in contemporary environments. You will be able to apply the knowledge and skills gained in the core areas of management in a diverse range of political, social, environmental and economic contexts.This program will actively explore and apply management theory through problem-based and work-relevant activities which may include face-to-face, online, self-directed, collaborative and individual learning experience and is delivered on-campus.In the final year of the program, the capstone experience course BUSM4546 Management in Practice provides the culmination of the knowledge, skills and applied work practice experiences that prepare you to transit into business world.On successful completion of the program, you will be able to work within a wide range of organisations and industries in varied roles, and career entry positions, such as business administration, management consulting and strategy analysis. The program will provide you with a basis for further development of your knowledge and skills in management, and for further study in business and management.This program is taught face to face in RMIT's Melbourne city campus.

The Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) is designed to provide you with a wide range of knowledge and skills in human behaviour. Core courses are designed to introduce you to the broad areas of human behaviour, then to focus in-depth in fundamental areas (cognition, development, biological and social psychology). You will finally learn to apply the basic theory of human behaviour to areas such as assessment, psychopathology, psychotherapy and community/society. Specialist professional options allow you to explore the work of psychology in forensics, across cultures, gender, organizations and health. The program provides you with knowledge and skills to continue on in professional areas (Honours followed by post graduate coursework; research degrees in psychology; or other education/health related areas) or to graduate and gain employment in a wide range of diverse settings.Although both Bundoora and City Campus offerings are listed within the structure, only year one is to be completed on the Bundoora Campus. The remaining years two and three must be completed on the City Campus. This program requires in-person attendance with some courses available on-line.In your final year of study you will undertake either a research project (BESC1466 Research Project) or a field placement (BESC1492 Psychology Field Placement). These capstone courses are the culmination of your program and require that you integrate and apply knowledge and skills from previous years of your program.

Medical Radiations – Medical Imaging is the field of clinical practice, education and research that deals with the use of ionising and non ionising radiation for the purpose of investigation, diagnosis and treatment of illness. As a radiographer you will be a health care professional who assists in the diagnosis and management of patients via the acquisition of medical images. These images are obtained using x-rays, computed tomography, fluoroscopy and digital subtraction angiography. Magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound may also be used. As a radiographer you will combine knowledge of the physical and biomedical sciences with technical expertise and patient care to acquire medical images in many imaging modalities.Upon completion of the RMIT Medical Radiations – Medical Imaging program, you will be eligible to attain provisional registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner. Following a year of mediate practice in your intern year, you will be eligible for full registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner, giving you an opportunity to work as a professional radiographer in Australia and abroad. The RMIT Medical Radiations program focuses on developing your knowledge and skills relevant to the professional discipline area of Medical Imaging with an emphasis on developing your knowledge in anatomy, pathology, physiology, physics, technology, patient care and clinical research. You will gain knowledge and skills from a range of learning activities and will be the guided in the application and refinement of your clinical skills through supervised laboratory sessions and through the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program, which you will undertake in range of medical imaging clinical departments across Australia.During the final year of the program you will undertake the following capstone experiences which will integrate your clinical and academic skills: RADI1178 Medical Imaging 3 and RADI1177 Medical Imaging 4.Note that this program requires you to attend classes on campus and participate in placement activities.

The Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Laboratory Medicine) provides training and education in the major disciplines of Laboratory Medicine. This program with its professional practice component is designed to provide a qualification which will fully prepare you for employment in diagnostic pathology or medical research locally, nationally and internationally. Delivery mode is face to face and requires on campus attendance.During Year 3 and 4 of the program you will undertake the following capstone experiences:MEDS2187 Professional Practice 1 Laboratory Medicine MEDS2188 Professional Practice 2 Laboratory Medicine MEDS2153 Advanced Laboratory MedicineThe program is also a pathway to postgraduate studies in Laboratory Medicine, such as PhD by research.

This program prepares you to solve business problems in the global marketplace and understand complexity in operations, logistics and supply chain industries. A broad-based curriculum in the program covers the design and management of supply chain practices such as inventory planning, procurement, production operations, transportation, distribution, warehousing, retail services, global logistics and supply chain technologies.The program provides opportunities to apply and consolidate your knowledge and skills in a practical workplace setting during the third year of the program. Upon completion of your practical placement, you will employ the tools and experiences gained to innovate, design and solve business-related problems in two business design project courses.In the final year of the program the capstone courses OMGT1053 Supply Chain Management Strategy, OMGT1039 Operations Management, BUSM4379 Logistics and Supply Chain Management Business Design Project 1 and BUSM4380 Logistics and Supply Chain Management Business Design 2 will give you the opportunity to critically reflect on and consolidate what you have learnt. This capstone experience will integrate the knowledge and skills gained in this program and apply them in discipline related real-world situations.You will experience a variety of learning approaches that may include: lectures, tutorials, assignments, site-visits, industrial guest lectures, collaborative projects and activities. Assessment may include examinations, essays, reports, oral presentations, group projects, research projects, laboratory projects and practical assignments.This program promotes the application of the curriculum in logistics and supply chain scenarios leading to work readiness or entry to graduate studies. The program will prepare you to work as a professional in a number of industrial sectors: aviation, automobile, computing, construction, manufacturing, mining, retailing, shipping, global trading, transport, distribution and warehousing. Job functions include procurement, inventory planning, operations management, operations research, and event organisations in both private and public sectors.The program is available for on-campus study.

This capstone experience enables you to critically reflect on and consolidate your theoretical and practical learning in this program.You will experience a variety of learning experiences that may include: lectures and tutorials, assignments, collaborative projects, and activities for developing information systems in a business context. The Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance) (Applied) will provide you with the knowledge and skills required in the financial management of public and private enterprises through curriculum involving highly-focussed and in-depth theoretical and practical learning and professional training in economics and finance, combined with generalist business studies in statistics, accounting, marketing, management, and business IT.The program is delivered on-campus through face-to-face teaching and learning, with some online components. You will be engaged in a variety of learning experiences, including lectures and tutorials, individual assignments, collaborative team-based projects, presentations, and activities using the Financial Markets Training Simulator. Assessments will include formal examinations, written assignments, presentations, case studies, projects, and in-class tests.The theory covered in this program is applied in two practical components. Firstly, through a supervised work placement supporting the development and application of skills valued by employers that increase your awareness of business practice, and, secondly, through two Work Integrated Learning (WIL) courses. These courses enable you to critically reflect on and consolidate your theoretical and practical learning in this program, and promote work readiness or entry into graduate studies for further learning.This program will prepare you to work as a professional accountant in diverse organisations. The Textile Technology programs at RMIT will ensure you are work-ready as a textile technologist for a range of industries including fashion apparel (sportswear and performance), design, medical, industrial textiles, automotive, furnishing, enviromental, and interior industries in Australia and overseas.The program combines technical knowledge and computer aided design (CAD) skills with exploration in design and creativity for the production of marketable products in textiles. The science of textiles is integrated to provide a fertile ground for new discoveries and innovations, drawing together individual expertise and diverse ideas from varying fields.The program focuses on the theory and practical application in the areas of product development, product design, product engineering, global marketing and management in diverse areas of textiles. You will build your expertise and knowledge of yarn, knitted, woven and non-woven fabrics and related processes, colour theory, dyeing and printing, product development, design and evaluation.Product development studies incorporate the latest computer aided design systems, which enable you to create, develop, trial and evaluate new product design in a simulated commercial environment.
