This seven-month diploma lets you explore the many and diverse career options open to you in the world of digital media design. The Digital Media Design subjects available through this diploma are industry-driven, giving you in-demand skills for a range of high-growth sectors – from web and mobile to 3D and visual effects. The Design Studio is the core of the diploma. Here you will collaborate with other students and learn the fundamentals of digital media design, explore trends, examine clients’ needs and learn the business side of design – working to briefs, budgets and schedules. In the elective subjects, industry leaders will introduce you to the theory and practice of 3D design and production. You’ll fill your tool box with techniques for creating moving image sequences and 3D visualisations. Learning about Interaction design, you’ll focus on the visual aspects of interface design and the ways visual design affects the user’s experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to complete an internship with one of our digital media industry partners, giving you fantastic studio experience, new contacts, and professional-quality material for your CV and portfolio. The Diploma of Branded Fashion Design is an all-inclusive qualification that starts you on the journey of understanding the business of what we wear as well as actually making the outfits. That means you’ll be called upon to create inspiring designs, develop and produce them for market… and deal with all the other people you’ll need to take those design concepts in your head and make them a reality. In the practical, real-world Design Studio subjects, you’ll learn all aspects of fashion design – how to use form, shape and colour, choosing materials, matching ideas with purpose, and more. Led by highly regarded industry professionals, you’ll investigate the theories behind design and marketing, evaluate communication and brand-fashion strategies, and scrutinise past, present and future fashion trends.

This course will teach you how to research, analyse and interpret the domestic and international business environments. Critical thinking skills are used to create strategic business and marketing plans and identify strategic business opportunities. Graduates will receive course credits to pathway into the Bachelor of Business programs, which means you could shave up to one year of study time off the degree.
