The Master of Teaching (Secondary Education) will be chosen by those who wish to teach in Secondary schools in Years 7 - 12. Students in this course will specialise in either one or two Secondary school curriculum areas, depending on their previous study, and will be qualified to teach in those subject areas of the Secondary curriculum. Curriculum areas offered in the Master of Teaching (Secondary Education) are: English, The Arts, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and Health and Physical Education. This course is not suitable for qualified Secondary teachers wishing to change their subject specialisation. Career Opportunities Graduates of this course will have the skills, knowledge and experience required to teach in secondary schools. Additional careers include education administrator or policy development officer.

The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) will be chosen by those who wish to teach in schools in K - 2, or who are seeking educator roles in Early Childhood Education and Care settings. This course encompasses children from birth - 8 years of age, and units studied will include management and leadership of Early Childhood Education and Care centres, as well as school curriculum and general pedagogical approaches. Professional experience placements will be completed by all students across the full age range of birth-8 years. Professional Recognition The course is recognised by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) as an approved early childhood teacher qualification. Course Accreditation Status The Master of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) is recognised by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) as an approved early childhood teacher qualification for the period from 7 March 2017 to March 2022. Sustainability management focuses on ensuring that our production and consumption systems work towards improving our quality of life whilst living within the carrying capacity of our supporting eco-systems. In addition, sustainability management is also a call to action, for industry, government, policy makers and the community in setting out the working parameters for sustainable development in our society. Although sustainable development is now widely accepted as a global challenge, there is not yet a widespread understanding or acceptance of its implications. This major deals with the challenges posed by the global quest for more sustainable development and the opportunities this presents to businesses, governments and communities alike. It also equips decision makers in the private and public sectors with the tools and skills necessary to analyse sustainability issues, and plan, evaluate and manage organisational change to improve an organisation's economic, environmental and social performance.
