Course Accreditation This course is accredited by CPA Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), and graduates are eligible to apply for associate membership of both professional bodies. Graduates are eligible to enter into the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA) program. MISU-DATSC v.1 Data Science Minor

A Specialisation/Minor consists of a minimum of two core units and no electives that extends, broadens or complements discipline studies or is relevant to student interests. Students wanting to study a Specialisation/Minor must have the equivalent credit as elective units within their course. Data is used in all industries to drive innovation and growth. Data Scientists are able to harness the power of data to be central in these processes across a range of industries. The Data Science Minor builds on students’ previous experience in statistics and programming to enable them to extract and analyse data to solve practical problems. Students learn how to mine large datasets and can choose to focus on computer simulation or data security. Entry Note: Students enrolled in the Data Science Major (MJRU-DATSC) and Computing Major {MJRU-COMPT) are excluded from this Minor.

MINU-DABUS v.2 Data Analytics for Business Minor

Students wanting to study a Specialisation/Minor must have the equivalent credit as elective units within their course. Data plays a pivotal role in decision-making at all levels of business, from investment, product or service development and distribution, marketing and sales. The Data Analytics for Business Minor includes foundational training in computer programming and statistical analysis. These core skills are then used to build competencies in computer simulation and econometrics. Entry note: students in B-SCNCE are excluded from this Minor.
