The Master of Project Management is designed to provide students with expertise in project management across a range of industries. Students develop the knowledge, skills and conceptual understanding needed to apply project management principles to project work and address resource management, risk management, business analysis and strategy. Units cover a range of practical contexts across the areas of entrepreneurship, management and leadership. The course addresses managing project teams, human resource management, change management, budgets and organisational behaviour. Students also develop problem-solving skills and learn how to establish and communicate innovative solutions to a range of audiences. They become equipped to create and communicate professional project plans that address complex business problems, support organisational change and respond to ethical issues. Students select a specialisation from options including information systems and risk management.

Physiotherapy is one of the fastest-growing and evolving fields in the health industry. In the Master of Physiotherapy, you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge as informed by current and emerging evidence to become a confident, resilient and enterprising physiotherapist. You’ll gain an authentic experience of working in clinical environments and health care systems through four clinic practice placements and a work immersive program within a community setting. You’ll also undertake units in digital health and technology, business, leadership, and enterprise that will build your capacity for work readiness and empower you to drive innovation in the field. Self-evaluation and reflection will be encouraged with a ‘Knowing Self’ unit, where you’ll be paired with physiotherapy mentors to help you become an agile, engaged and capable health professional. The Master of Physiotherapy program is an accredited and approved program by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and is endorsed by the Australian Physiotherapy Board.

Master of Occupational Therapy

The Master of Occupational Therapy provides students with skills and knowledge in treating clients who have difficulty participating in everyday life activities due to neurological, musculoskeletal or mental health issues. Students undertake problem-based learning which requires them to collaboratively question, research, interpret core information and develop meaningful responses to case scenarios. Design, technology, and business entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship are embedded in the curriculum content, which has been designed collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals. Students complete three professional work placements in community- or hospital-focused agencies that offer short-and long-term therapy, a well as an innovative project-based placement in the Design Factory Melbourne. Working in teams, students gain industry experience by developing innovative solutions to problems provided by industry partners and consumers.

The Master of Finance and Banking (Advanced) is designed to provide students with design-led problem-solving skills, industry-based work experience. Students learn research methodology and techniques. They also complete an industry-based project in finance and banking, through which they learn the skills and knowledge to undertake design-led research. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain specialised finance and banking knowledge through research. It is ideal for students who wish to progress to a PhD or professional doctorate with the goal of obtaining employment in financial analysis, banking research or higher education. Graduates may be eligible for membership of the Financial Planning Association, Finance and Treasury Association and Financial Services Institute of Australasia. They may also be eligible to pursue global professional credentials such as the Chartered Financial Analyst program and charter.
