The VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) is the senior secondary school qualification (Year 11 and Year 12) issued by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA). Studying the VCE as an adult has many advantages, including: increased options for further study improving your ATAR score career change benefits a second chance to complete your secondary education qualification the opportunity to complete the certificate in one year (for adults returning to study). Studying the VCE at Victoria University Polytechnic, you have the option to commence selected Year 12 VCE subjects in Semester 2, 2019 on the Northern Hemisphere Timetable (NHT) and complete the subjects in Semester 1, 2020. You will be ready to work in-house or as an independent freelance professional. We’ll ensure you know the theory and science behind treatments and equip you with knowledge of the most up-to-date beauty techniques. The course includes a practical placement in a salon of your choice where you can gain confidence and face-to-face experience. This course provides training in basic and advanced beauty therapy techniques and services including: facial treatments lash and brow treatments manicures and pedicures make-up waxing body massage and treatments spa treatments electrolysis treatments advice on and selling of retail skin care and cosmetic products. Developed in partnership with industry, the Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations at VU Polytechnic will teach you the in-demand skills to pursue your career as a plant operator.
