The GD210 Graduate Diploma in Interior Design program provides a one-year exit point from the MC275 Master of Interior Design. It provides an industry partnered, project-based learning experience that critically examines the social, cultural, technological and environmental issues and challenges associated with the production of contemporary interior environments including public, commercial, civic, institutional and community spaces with a focus on the Asia / Australasian region.This program has been designed to give you specialised knowledge of interior design so that you are able to undertake professional work and/or pursue a pathway into research and further learning. It provides graduates of interior design and complimentary design fields with an opportunity position themselves in relation to current interior design practice through collaboration with clients, industry and peers. This program is primarily delivered in face-to-face mode and you will be required to attend classes on campus. Some courses in the program may be offered fully online.You will learn how to be an effective contributor in a team environment through the process of actual designing - developing a collective design response to a range of design briefs developed through industry and client engagement. You will engage with client partners (encompassing commercial, institutional, civic and social organisations) and industry practice partners (interior design and associated design practices) together with the student cohort on actual, contemporary projects and challenges.
