The Diploma of Remedial Massage is designed to provide you with the underpinning theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to safely and effectively work with clients presenting with soft tissue dysfunction, musculoskeletal imbalance or restrictions in range of motion (ROM). They are able to plan and realise a body of work in one or more art forms. Visual arts practice at this level is underpinned by a sound grasp of art theory and history and the ability to critically analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources. Discourse and communication around complex ideas are also required.This program prepares individuals who wish to pursue a career as visual artists or in other creative fields. This is achieved by studying practical and theoretical courses developed in conjunction with the arts industry. Areas of study include painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, digital imaging, public art and art theory. The major emphasis of the program is the production of a folio of work that reflects your personal creative inquiry. The folio will display a sequential development, with emphasis on the acquisition of skills and the adaptation of those skills for a production of works based upon a sound personal philosophical base.The diploma is developed around ideas of integrated course experiences, reflecting contemporary notions of the arts practitioner as multi-disciplined.
